More than Made in France, made in the region attracts. According to a survey by Opinion Way for A Little Market, the French are more and more consuming local products. 63% of the population regularly favour the consumption of locally made goods and a very large majority, 93%, do this from time to time.
The intentions of the French have also changed. For 32% of the respondents, local products are seen as better. Also, 24% believe that they share the values of these commodities, in addition to feeling comforted by greater clarity and a more precise traceability. 61% of the French population are willing to pay even more for them with the desire to support the local economy but also to preserve employment through local purchases. Consumers are particularly attentive as to the origin when it comes to food. One-third of the French population also pay close attention to the origin of maintenance products or hygiene.

Aurore Malval, journalist at Nice-Matin is, at the moment, living the experience of eating local for a whole month. “I finally decided to be responsible. I am feeding myself (breakfast, lunch and dinner) exclusively of food products within 60 kilometres of Nice,” she said.
